WRITING UPDATE:
With November coming up, and NaNoWriMo prep in full swing, I figured it was about time to update everyone on all my current projects.
Cedar Lake is in the "Don't ask" stage. It will be okay, but right now it's...well...don't ask.
The Carpenter is in first revision/misc edit stage, and I'm happy to announce that there's a lot of workable stuff there!
Rest Stop is shelved for the moment in the plotting stage. Needs a lot more research, but I'm not giving up on it, I still love the idea. :)
Orchid Blue is also shelved for the moment, until I figure out how to either recover the missing files or decide that I can move on and just re-write it.
And now the new novel...There's Something Wrong With Logan (working title). I'll be plotting it out over the next month or so, and then attempting to write the whole thing in November! I'm really excited to be starting something new. :D
Thanks for all your interest and support!!! You are the best peeps!!! <3

I remember days standing next to you
While the mortars flew rockets scraped the sky
We talked about the prayers we said, fears that we might die there
Dust to dust the desert sand would coat and grit our necks, our teeth a tan that made us ghosts we didn't know that it would haunt us home
Follow and take you back
Night after night those ghosts
The shaking fear the rage that fight would raise
The dust to take you back to dust again
We bury you and know the war you fought
We stood there with you then
Now we too brush and shake the dust but it rises up
Fills the air again
we choke it down
The tears the storm the Dust
To Dust it claims another
We know. It could be us. Our dust it rises in the night
Memories we fight but can't hit
It swirls dances out of reach until we weep
Tears to settle the dust but still
this dust will rise
Whoa... these are powerful words, put together in an amazing way!! Although we can never truly know what you, who put your lives on the line to protect our country, go through, these words reach in to touch us and make us pause to think about things like war, peace, love, and yes, death. But. Wait. What? Tan teeth?!
